Yoga Philosophy in Tokyo

I am in the steamy hot streets of Tokyo... well more in my hotel room in between my yoga philosophy lecture gig at Be Yoga Japan. Spoke for 5 hours about Tantra. Tantra a weaving together of magical threads, individual threads that hold a kaleidoscope of possibilities. In Tantra the carpet is woven yet the thread lives with the idea that its individual, its color shining brightly. This thread is choosing how it wants to play with the divine. One moment joy, another moment, suffering. How magnificent is the mind. The Japanese have the same word for heart and mind ( kokoro) To me it is saying; your mind is your heart and your heart is your mind. When your mind is clear and still, so is your heart. When your heart is open, so is your mind. Sometimes the mind gets cloudy... this can be a problem with our intelligence, but not the rational intelligence, divine intelligence. Its the mind that lives in our stomach. The senses take in everything, but its a lot to digest. If we have our heart in our mind the food of love passes through us and fertilises the soil of our lives. If our mind is in our heart and our heart is blocked then the energy of the mind lives in the solar plexus and immerses itself in the fire. When the fire is weak, the mind is dull, its hard to tune to our higher intelligence. When the fire is too strong it overheats the mind and a kind of madness ensues. Nothing can grow when the sun's heat scorches the earth.

at the moment my mind is cloudy... like the clouds that hang over Mount Fuji

ARe you talking about tantra or your emotions. Tantra is a science not an emotion. Just wondering.

I am not really talking about tantra all the way through... just that its a weaving... and ofcourse a science... but I like to be creative in my interpretations....just going off on my own tangential as it were...

My understandings come more from the left hand side of tantra, that some even call the ooohhhhh side. Far from the truth, I can tell you from experience. In fact it is all from experience. Tantra is an experience. So, in this kali yuga age, although some say we have done a quantum leap,we have all been working for this... however....the techniques of tantra have the ability to slice through the illusion that this materialist world throws at us. But we have to see beyond, go beyond and create it right here and now, see heaven on earth. See that all is one, all is the divine. Thats the trick. NOt an easy one hold on to. Too many distractions, but we can use those distractions to attract. We have a powerful tool when used positively, our mind, it can be focused as sharp as a lazer beam. We have a latent energy that can be called on to help heighten our awareness. Our souls have lived many times, we have knowledge. The more advanced techniques of tantra involve mantra for there is no tantra without mantra. Deity, ritual, yantras, nada, mudras and more. Tantra is to experience everything as it is and then dare to go beyond, see it for yourself, Part the curtains of illusion we place around ourselves through the 3d world. Surely there is a 5th, 6th, even an 11th.
Bit of a rave rachel.... whooopss laya
